Dean of Nursing jobs in Delaware

Dean of Nursing manages administrative functions of the college of nursing. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Dean of Nursing leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment and improvement, human resource, faculty development and performance appraisals, budget and finance, and facilities planning and management. Additionally, Dean of Nursing requires an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires certification as a registered nurse. The Dean of Nursing manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Dean of Nursing typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.       Primary Function:
      The assistant Dean (Assistant Principal) under the direction of the building Dean (Principal)l serves as an instructional leader for the staff, students, and community. These responsibilities include establishing a climate conducive to learning, clarifying roles and expectations, long-range planning, and coordinating community involvement in the total school program.


      Responsibilities:

        Create and sustain programs to support CCSA’s mission, culture, and school expectations
        Work collaboratively with school and district personnel to establish and implement equity and inclusive practices in school programs.
        Implement and monitor a Multi-Tiered System of Supports to ensure all CCSA students have access to social, emotional, and behavioral programming and interventions
        Enforce the Code of Conduct in a fair and consistent manner and educate the school community of expectations.
        Develop and implement systems, structures, and standard procedures of operations.
        Monitor discipline data, maintain accurate records, and manage consequences including detentions/in-school/out-of-school suspensions
        Establish and maintain school operations including duty schedule, car line, event scheduling, after school clubs, cafe procedures, and truancy reporting
        Conduct classroom observations and DPAS performance appraisals.
        Must be able to teach/serve students remotely and in person depending on the needs of the assigned students.
        Research, develop and implement programs to improve student attendance and discipline.
        Perform other duties and tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.

      Qualifications:

        Must be eligible to hold State of Delaware Principal/Assistant Principal Certificate
        Minimum 5 years teaching experience
        Demonstrated successful leadership experience within an organization.
        Understanding of special education laws and regulations
        Strong knowledge and experience with
        Experience with Tier-I/MTSS school wide implementation
        Interest in an arts integrated approach to instruction

        Delaware Advanced License

        Delaware Initial License
        Out of State Teaching License
        DESPAP School Principal and Assistant Principal
