    Job Summary/Basic Function

    General office duties, provides customer service primarily to students looking for on-campus employment and processing of all paperwork to students who have found employment.



    Specific Responsibilities

    Work Schedule
    Scheduled hours occur mostly during University business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, although occasionally meetings or events fall outside of these hours and are communicated in advance. Student worker schedules will be determined by student availability and department need. Summer availability is a plus.

    Job Duties

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters
    • Instruct customers how to complete employment forms and state and federal tax forms
    • Check all paperwork turned in by students for accuracy
    • Proofread, copy, and prepare all documents for Payroll and Human Resources on a daily basis
    • Accurately enter data in the Banner Production system
    • Create/prepare Excel spreadsheets when necessary or required
    • Accurately identify a new employee with the required identification provided
    • Become acquainted with and eventually learn University, federal, and state rules and laws associated with employment and E-Verification
    • Be able to accurately file and retrieve employment documents alphabetically and numerically
    • Be able to help new customers navigate the Applicant Tracking System in order for them to secure employment
    • Inform students how they can find off-campus and on-campus jobs, for profit and nonprofit organizations regardless of each student’s Federal Work Study status
    • General office duties and other duties as assigned
