Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. 36 hours per week / 72 hours per pay period
Operates the Communication Center for CareFlight Air & Mobile, including multiple aircraft and ground transport vehicles, and other air & ground vehicles as needed, during their assigned shift.
Weekends: Every Third Equivalent
Holidays: 2-3 per year.
Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED
Licensure/Certification/Registration: This position requires a certified Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic in the state of Ohio, or may have the equivalent in knowledge or experience. Air Medical Communication Specialist Certification required during orientation.
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
Preferred experience: Experience as an EMS provider or a minimum of 1 year full-time experience in EMS Dispatching.
Working Conditions:
1. Must be able to sit/stand at work station for at least 12 hours.
2. Must be able to sit at a computer with multiple monitors for extended periods of time.
3. Must be able to work with a telephone and radio system.
4. Must be able to multi-task efficiently.
5. Must demonstrate good customer service skills and work with/alongside coworkers and customers with a wide range of personalities.
6. Must be able to use a headset for extended periods of time.
7. Must attend department meeting and education; including completing any education assignments as requested.
8. Shift days/hours are subject to change based on the needs of the department.
9. Must be flexible in scheduling.
