Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.   • Job Description THE OPPORTUNITY A Marketing Project Specialist is accountable for the planning and efficient execution of marketing creative assets , including ensuring on time delivery and quality assurance. They will serve as the day-to-day lead on creative projects through effective communication and documentation of critical information, building relationships with Marketing Team members, and demonstrating a passion for Advance Auto Parts customers and our products and services. They will seek team alignment at all times to increase efficiency and create an environment for the best possible creative work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned: Review and assess project requests, and communicate with stakeholders to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives; Open and manage all projects through Workfront software Create schedules and confirm budget and other necessary resources needed to initiate the project, as required Keep all projects on schedule via communication with resources and stakeholders; alert team to risks to schedules or budget Gather resource assignments for each project Organize and lead necessary meetings, including pre-kickoff, project kick-off, and post-delivery evaluation, along with consistently relaying status updates; participate in meetings as a campaign manager as needed for certain assigned projects Maintain detailed records of all projects and communicate project progress and updates to all stakeholders, including meeting recaps. Plan and manage production team tasks, including electronic proofing and acting as facilitator for key stakeholder feedback. Proactively identify risks during project lifecycle and recommend solutions Assist with campaign management for select initiatives, which may include reviewing briefs and delivering final assets. QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrates a growth mindset, a desire to drive continuous project management improvements and a desire to learn the Advance Auto Parts business and brand standards Aptitude to collaborate in a matrix organization Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships both within the Project Management team and cross-functionally Demonstrates a high level of accountability through delivering results, proactively developing solutions, and time management skills Exhibits a customer-oriented mindset; Consistently considers how to support the organization through exceptional customer service Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and prioritization skills Comfortable holding others accountable and facilitating alignment to move efforts forward Uses creative problem solving to resolve issues and overcome roadblocks; applies critical thinking to understand what may be causing problems and recommends operational improvements.
