Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters.     FLSA status: Non-exempt, full time 36.25 hours M-F –some weekends

    Pay Range: $37,700.00 - $49,010.00

    Location: Huntington Park, CA

    Reports to: Director of Compliance and Technology

    Summary: Responsible for collecting and entering any data required by DMH and Project Return. Ensure all data including the Integrated Behavioral Health Information System centralized web based (IBHIS) is entered electronically at network site and downloaded to DMH in a timely manner. Provide clerical/administrative support for programs and services as deemed necessary at the assigned work location.

    Essential Functions: This person ensures contractual requirements are met by ensuring billing paperwork for all groups is correct and submitted on time. This person has excellent organizational and logistical skills. She or he is responsible for training staff on contractual requirements and providing coaching for supporters and volunteer peer group facilitators on the core competencies of peer support.     Enters billing, program outcome and other data into one or more programs or computer systems as needed or required by worksite
    Works with program managers to get new Volunteers and staff into the NPI and Rendering Provider system
    Provide light training to new facilitators on proper COS guidelines
    Maintains all records and documentation related to above including filing of COS records
    Depending upon work location and needs of the supervisor and worksite, may perform light clerical and/or administrative, including but not limited to typing, filing, faxing, photocopying, preparing mailings, distribution of incoming mail, performing clerical research, answering phones, backing-up front desk, maintaining equipment inventories, and/or other similar tasks if needed in support of program and administrative functioning.
    Attends and participates in staff meetings and other aspects of the day-to-day operations and community life of the program site
    Works cooperatively with other staff to assure the smooth and seamless delivery of comprehensive administrative services to the agency and its members
    Complete all documentation and maintain all paperwork and other required documentation as required for program compliance and accountability in accordance with Project Return standards and funding source requirements
    Must have a desire to work with individuals impaired by extreme distress / mental illness and believe in an individual’s ability to recover from disabling mental distress.
    Must verbalize an initial and ongoing understanding of environmental variables that may present while performing administrative tasks and/or providing direct services as an PRPSN employee (i.e., individuals presenting at the agency in extreme emotional states).
    Must exhibit good personal judgment, a non-bias attitude, sensitivity, and discretion when dealing with other individuals. Must demonstrate the skills and ability to “work and play well with others” interacting with co-workers, program participants, family members and community partners effectively and responding appropriately when experiencing interpersonal conflict with others.
    Other duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Technology.
    Models PRPSN approach, mission and core values in all communication and correspondence.
    Employees are required to carry adequate limits of liability, with a minimum of $30,000 for property damage and $60,000 for bodily injury. A copy of the declaration page of your personal automobile insurance policy must be provided to PRPSN annually.

    Skills:
    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are minimum qualifications, which an individual needs to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.

    SKILLS/ABILITIES:
    A minimum accurate typing speed of 45 WPM.
    Knowledgeable of computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe.
    Must be able to produce Excel workbooks with accurate formulas and update existing formulas and data
    Peer Advocate Certificate/Training and demonstrated experience in peer support, peer advocacy or self-help. Obtaining a Peer Specialist certificate within 6 months will be required for any candidate that doesn’t currently have one.
    Have demonstrated expertise in CRT/data entry functions
    Must possess a very high degree of accuracy in data entry, and be able to research, review, reconcile, correct, and produce system data and report data in all formats
    Ability to work extended periods of time with a minimum of supervision, especially in identifying and initiating meaningful activities to stay busy and productive
    Must have a reliable way to get to work whether that’s on public transportation or personal vehicle
    Individual who has personally live and experienced of psychiatric disability and/or mental illness is preferred but not required

    Physical Demands
