Decision Support Project Specialist provides technical guidance and solutions to user groups working with decision support software and data tools. Analyzes user requirements and evaluates functionality and configuration options available for existing and new software. Being a Decision Support Project Specialist delivers user training and coaching to facilitate problem solving and decision making using hardware, software, datamarts, and data warehouses. Plans, coordinates and monitors projects to prepare, test, and deploy decision support tools, reports, dashboards and models to users. Additionally, Decision Support Project Specialist troubleshoots and resolves problems. May have specialized knowledge of a particular software product tool or module that is utilized. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Decision Support Project Specialist is a specialist on complex technical and business matters. Job Summary
This position requires solid people skills, a preference for collaboration, and the ability to apply broad experience and wide-ranging technology skills to a fully online technology environment of 200 users in 20 metro area locations. The job is well-suited for an IT generalist to provide deskside and remote technical support, troubleshoot and solve technical issues, monitor day-to-day operations, manage computer lab hardware, onboard/offboard staff, provide technical assistance for audiovisual systems, respond to end-user questions, and collaborate with the rest of the department and our managed services provider to maintain and improve the technologies used by PPL. PPL's work is now a Hybrid Model. Our Hybrid Model refers to the split between working in the office or onsite at satellite locations (60%) and home (40%) of the time. A 5-day work week equates to three days working in the office and the opportunity to work from home for the other two days.
Salary: $55,000-$65,000 Yr., DOQ
