Shifts for the Deli clerk positions would be within the hours of 1pm to 9pm. 50% weekend availability is required. Must be 18 years of age to apply.

Below is the job description for the position you are applying for.

Summary:

This position provides prompt courteous and accurate service to customers as well as properly prepares and displays product. Primary learning challenge is in product knowledge, case sets, tray assembly and equipment use. Position requires good judgement and decision making as well as social skills. Position functions and work hours may vary according to business needs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Assists with food preparation

-Properly shaves and slices meats and cheeses

-Ensures proper handling, sanitization, freshness and quality of all product

-Ensures proper assembly and recipes for salads, sandwiches, pizza, party trays and chicken

-Follows tare weight procedures

Provides customers with accurate, prompt and courteous service

-Processes orders with proper quantities, quality and price

-Promotes product through suggestive selling

-Utilizes correct procedures for credit returns or exchanges

-Answers questions and provides assistance as appropriate

Fills and rotates deli cases and displays

-Ensures cases and displays are full, clean and attractive

-Maintains proper refrigeration and handles product properly to avoid damage

Code dates product and separates outdated or unfit product

-Sets cases and displays according to instruction

Assists in receiving of product

-Correctly matches delivery to invoice and signs

-Monitors product quality

-Stores product and ensures proper refrigeration

Breaks down department and performs cleaning duties

-Washes/changes salad bowls

-Breaks down, washes and sanitizes and sharpens slicers

-Cleans cases, ovens and fryers

-Sweeps and mops floors

-Uses PPE as instructed

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
