Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Production Planner. As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in compiling and recording production data along with preparing records and reports of production, consumption of raw material and other aspects of production.
Duties:
· Compiles and records production data from such documents as customer orders and manufacturing orders
· Leads implementation and training of scheduling tools within business (ERP - SAP)
· Calculates factors such as types and quantities of items produced materials used, amount of scrap, and work production rates
· Management / maintenance of records, files, and documents related to work completed
· Responsible for management of material planning by opening manufacturing orders, releasing to business units and maintaining MRP parameters to support planning process for current and future demand based on historical data and forecast
· Prepares written work schedules based on established guidelines and priorities
· Verify and make corrections if needed to manufacturing transactions in order to close work orders
· Issue stock requisitions as needed
· Responsible for all cycle count related issues
· Responsible for timely month end and year-end reporting
· Knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access programs needed.
· Communicate customer order risks to customer service
· Responsible for DSA to customers
· Ability to work additional hours with short notice

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
· Associates degree or equivalent from 2-year College, or 5 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment required.
· 3 years' experience in SAP ERP Database required.
