    Job Title: Deputy Asset Manager

    Location(s): Westminster, CO

    Status: Full-Time

    FLSA: Exempt

    Hiring Range: $130,000 - $160,000/yr. (The anticipated starting salary is based on the posted minimum requirements for this position. The offered salary will be based upon the selected applicant’s education, training, and experience.)

    RSI EnTech, LLC is recruiting for a Deputy Asset Manager who is organized and results-driven to join the asset management team. This person must be a strategically minded individual with strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience managing and maintaining assets through their entire lifecycle. Strong project management, budgeting, scheduling, and managing multiple client’s skills. 

     

    This position is required to travel 20% of the time.

     

    Primary responsibilities and essential functions:

    · Guide Long-Term Decisions: Provide strategic guidance for the asset management team and key stakeholders. Effectively manage operating resources and capital assets to ensure efficient services while aligning key business functions to support operations.

    · Drive Organizational Design and Change Management: Utilize proficiency in project management tools to drive future organizational design and change management initiatives. Develop and maintain a high-performing, motivated, and impactful team to adapt to evolving asset management needs.

    · Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Employ knowledge experience of interpersonal skills document management systems to manage complex internal and external stakeholders, including other department heads, industry organizations, and public entities. Facilitate communication and collaboration to ensure alignment and support for asset management objectives. Foster and maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.

    · Assessment and Future Planning: Evaluate clients' current asset status and future needs in alignment with their mission and goals.

    · Program Development and Implementation: Guide team to develop, coordinate, update, and facilitate the implementation of the asset management programs, covering diverse areas such as real estate, facility management, fleet management, personal property management, beneficial reuse, resilience, sustainability initiatives, and enterprise asset management systems.

    · Oversight and Coordination: Oversee and coordinate the management, operations, and maintenance of assets, including conducting required variance analysis and financial reporting.

    · Project Management: Plan, organize, direct, and control project-specific meetings, assessments, corrective actions, and other project management duties.

    · Budgeting and Scheduling: Assist in developing, negotiating, and implementing annual and lifecycle budgets and schedules for asset management activities.

    · Safety, Compliance, and Security: Ensure responsibility and accountability for safety, compliance, and security at sites or office locations by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.

    · Supervision and Delegation: Provide backup support in overseeing and approving time records and expense reports of others, and formally delegate work activities based on expertise and risk assessment.

    · Client Advisory: Strategically advise clients on asset management strategies to optimize their asset utilization.

    · Portfolio Analysis and Management: Analyze and evaluate the progress of LM's asset portfolio and enact necessary changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

    · Collaboration and Reporting: Work collaboratively with the asset management team and senior executives, providing regular reports on asset management activities.

    · Site Visits: Travel to sites as needed to ensure proper monitoring and management of assets from acquisition to disposition.

    · Additional Responsibilities: Perform any other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the asset management function.

     

    Work experience, skills, and capabilities needed:

    · Asset Management Expertise: A strong understanding of asset management principles, including asset assessment, lifecycle management, and optimization strategies.

    · Strategic Planning: Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives in asset management.

    · Financial Management: Proficiency in budgeting, financial analysis, variance analysis, and financial reporting related to asset management activities.

    · Project Management: Skills in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling projects, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    · Leadership and Team Management: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and provide coaching and support to team members.

    · Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and senior executives.

    · Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze root causes, and develop and implement effective solutions.

    · Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts, agreements, and budgets with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.

    · Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and directives related to asset management, including safety, compliance, and security requirements.

    · Data Analysis and Management: Proficiency in analyzing and managing data related to asset performance, utilization, and maintenance using asset management systems and software.

    · Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions accordingly.

    · Risk Management: Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with asset management activities, including safety hazards and security threats.

    · Adaptability and Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing priorities, situations, and requirements in a dynamic environment.

    · Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and attention to detail in all aspects of asset management, including documentation, reporting, and compliance.

    · Travel Management: Ability to manage travel logistics efficiently for site visits and meetings as required by the role.

    · Continuous Learning: Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of asset management to stay updated on industry best practices and trends.

     

    Technical knowledge, certifications/licenses, and software proficiency required:

    · Asset Management Software: Proficiency in using specialized asset management software platforms to track, analyze, and manage assets throughout their lifecycle.

    · Data Analysis Tools: Familiarity with data analysis tools to analyze asset performance, utilization, and maintenance data, and to generate reports and insights.

    · Geographic Information Systems (GIS): Basic knowledge of GIS software to analyze spatial data related to asset locations, land use, and infrastructure.

    · Financial Management Software: Proficiency in financial management software to manage budgets, track expenses, and generate financial reports related to asset management activities.

    · Project Management Tools: Experience with project management tools and concepts to plan, organize, and track asset management projects and tasks.

    · Document Management Systems: Familiarity with document management systems to organize, store, and retrieve asset-related documents, contracts, and records.

    · Database Management: Knowledge of database management systems to manage asset-related data and perform data queries and manipulation as needed.

    · Asset Tracking Technologies: Knowledge of asset tracking technologies for accurate identification and tracking of assets.

    · Cybersecurity Awareness: Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to ensure the security and integrity of asset management systems and data against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

    · Valid driver’s license.

     

    Desirable qualifications, experience, or proficiencies of the ideal candidate:

    · Prior DOE experience.

     

    Required Education and Years of Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in construction management; Project Management; Engineering; Facility Operations; Asset Management; Portfolio Management; or related field with a minimum 10 year’s experience.

     

    Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: 

    The employee must remain is a stationary position 50% of the time. This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.  Constantly works inside an office environment. Frequently moves documents and objects weighing up to 10 pounds.  Must be able to observe and learn technical material and emails.
