Design Engineer designs, develops, and enhances new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and recommends specifications and ensures products meet the technical and functional requirements. Being a Design Engineer recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures. Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. Additionally, Design Engineer works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Design Engineer work is closely managed.     About this Role

    As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering innovative solutions to a variety of industries and products using CAD.


    Basic Qualifications

    • 4 years of experience in mechanical design engineering
    • Advanced proficiency in NX CAD including modeling, drafting, assembly, and analysis OR experience with SolidWorks CAD and a desire to learn NX CAD

    Technical Competencies

    • Experience designing consumer electronic products, packaging electronics, opto-mechanical product design, precision mechanism design
    • Experience with machine design and robotic automation
    • Broad understanding of manufacturing methods including machined metals, casting, injection molding, and sheet metal

    Success Indicators

    • Experience delivering innovative solutions for a variety of industries and products
    • Ability to think laterally to solve design challenges
    • Holding high standards for product design and performance
    • Experience managing time and schedules effectively
