Position Title: CAD Designer

Hours: 8-5 or 7-4 M-F ONSITE

Location: Petersburg, VA

Type: Direct Placement

Salary : $70,000-$80,000

Must Haves:

• 3-5 years of CAD design/modeling experience
• Associates degree in related field
• Heavy 3D modeling experience utilizing Revit or SolidWorks or Structure works or AutoCAD
• Knowledge of fundamental geometry and trigonometry

Plusses:

• Experience in the precast industry

Day to Day:

A leading precast concrete company is looking for a CAD designer in the Petersburg, VA area to join their team. This individual will be responsible for:

• Reading contract drawings and specifications
• Collaborate with entry level designers and engineers to prepare and issue all materials regarding the project structure/architecture
• Issue erection drawings and details to the general contractor or owner for approvals
• Advise engineering manager of problems/progress
• Converse via telephone, email, or in person with General Contractor, project architects and project engineers
• Detail cover sheet, foundation plans, foundation plants, elevation drawings, and details as required
• Help prepare small to medium size precast projects & turn drafted drawings into fine-tuned drawings

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
