Job Summary:

Join our team as an Apprentice Countertop Installer and gain hands-on experience in the countertop installation industry. As an apprentice, you'll work closely with our lead countertop installer to deliver high-quality installations and exceptional customer service. You'll also have opportunities to learn and grow within the company while contributing to a safe and efficient work environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist with Installations: Work alongside the lead countertop installer to assist with the measurement, cutting, and installation of countertops.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Shop Duties: Perform various tasks in the shop when not on installation sites, including preparation, organization, and maintenance of tools and materials.
• Handle and Transport Countertops: Safely handle and transport countertops to and from job sites, ensuring they are protected from damage.
• Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
• Troubleshooting: Learn to identify and troubleshoot installation issues, and assist in resolving any problems that arise during the installation process.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team
• Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
• Willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Valid Driver License
• Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in construction or a related field is a plus, but not required.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands or finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50-100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• May require extended hours in order to meet customer’s needs.
• Will encounter varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Noise level may be high
• May require overnight travel
• Normal vehicle travel hazards will apply
• This position requires traveling between jobsites and Designer Tops. Designer Tops requires all employees who drive a company vehicle in the routine performance of their jobs to have a valid Driver’s License.

Schedule:

• Monday – Thursday 7:00am – 5:30pm
• This position may require overtime
• This position is required to travel within the tri-state area
• This position may require an occasional overnight

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
