Des Moines Public Schools is seeking a Public Safety Manager to join our Security team.

Job Summary:
Ensure that DMPS students, staff and visitors are safe when using DMPS facilities. Serve as liaison between the district and City of Des Moines Police and Fire and Rescue Departments. Assess security at all schools to ensure safety for students and staff. Work with Emergency Management and serve on the district’s emergency response advisory committee.

Successful candidates for this position will possess:
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Preparedness or equivalent to ten years of experience in public safety related fields.
Experience in leadership and operation of public safety, fire, and law enforcement

Salary Range for this position: $79,373-96,034
This represents the minimum to mid-point of the salary range. Candidates offered employment will be compensated based on skills, work experience and education.
