    About the department:

    The Corporate Development team at Cognite work with teams across the company to develop strategy and execute on key strategic initiatives. The team of four has grown to become an integral part of advising on company direction.  We spend a lot of time at the intersection of strategy and finance and primarily focus on three areas: 1) Corporate finance including M&A, fundraising and equity program management; 2) Strategic partnerships; 3) business development.     A typical day as a Cogniter will contain the following tasks & responsibilities
    • Help drive processes related to strategic business development and running fundraisings, acquisitions, partnership processes or other high stakes relationships (OEM, Aker, etc)
    • Develop Cognite’s M&A agenda and develop it into a key contributor to Cognite’s growth
    • Together with CEO and Senior Leadership Team, help formulate Cognite’s strategy and run resulting strategic initiatives jointly with the business
    • Help run efficient processes towards Cognite’s Board of Directors and Owners to ensure they are up-to-date on the progress of the company and make efficient decisions
    • Collaborate with finance on corporate finance tasks including KPIs and reporting
    • Manage Cognites share and option programme
    • Social office support

    • Curious and passion to learn and build
    • Most candidates will have some form of eduction like a masters degree in finance, business or alike
    • 1-2 years experience in consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, analytics, venture, corporate development, strategy
    • Solid interest in how technology solve key business problems in the industrial world
    • Strong operational grit and get stuff done!
