Development Associate - Museum coordinates fundraising, membership campaigns, annual fund, and sponsorship initiatives and events. Conducts grant research and writes proposals. Being a Development Associate - Museum administers correspondence with individual donors, maintains donor databases, and provides statistical reports on developmental activities. Events Manager-Part Time/Museum Society

  • The Events Manager serves as point person for organizing and ensuring smooth implementation of several public events.

    The Events Manager ensures the success of several annual events including Ice Cream Social, Victorian Christmas & More, Day of the Dead, and various exhibit opening receptions and others as needed. Works with staff and volunteers to coordinate the planning and implementing of various event activities to ensure smoot operation; conducts post-event debrief, prepares reports, analyzes event data, maintains event records for future reference.

    Part Time - 20 hours per week approximately, usually Wednesday -Sunday and occasional evening, weekend and holiday work.

    Qualifications

    NM Class D Driver's License High School Diploma or equivalent

    Special Requirements

    Knowledge of museum operations and passionate about museum's mission, Excellent time management, organizational planning, problem-solving, project management skills; understands and is sensitive to needs of diverse populations; computer literate, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint; strong interpersonal, communication, motivational, diplomacy and teamwork skills; ability to create and successfully manage annual and project budgets; several years working with event planning.

    Working Conditions: Office environment. Some travel is required. Physical requirement: Able to carry at least 25 pounds. Reports to Musuem Director
