Development Coordinator identifies potential donors and evaluates their interests and capacity to give to the organization. Conducts research and prospecting to locate individuals aligning with the organization's values and mission. Being a Development Coordinator analyzes data for trends and creates donor profiles to assist with donor development, stewardship, and direct communications and fundraising strategy. Uses a database or Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain research data and donor records, execute mailing or e-mail campaigns, and create reports. The development coordinator is instrumental in making UAF’s supporters feel appreciated and connected to the impact of their philanthropy.
These positions will create relationships with internal stakeholders across the university to share fundraising policies and procedures and assist with their individual fundraising activities. Excellent project management skills are essential to keep initiatives running smoothly, design and create impact reports for benefactors, and track and organize fundraising activities related to key donor relationships.
The development coordinators works closely with the Development team and various university departments to make a meaningful impact through fundraising. This essential team member works with the UA Foundation to establish new funds, gather information for benefactors, and assist with small and large events.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, public administration or relevant field and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks, Alaska. This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience.
