Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor jobs in Aurora, CO

Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in a diagnostic imaging department such as nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography or ultrasound. Monitors the adherence to all diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree, certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     The role you’ll contribute (Job Summary):

    • Responsible for developing, achieving, and maintaining the goals of assigned Imaging units.
    • Coordinates the daily activities of the units, in addition to performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in assigned areas.
    • Provides leadership in the Imaging department, utilizing people, technology, and
      financial resources to efficiently provide services.
    • Consistently promotes a positive work environment by being visible and available to all levels of staff and customers.
    • Key performance indicators include but are not limited to: Patient satisfaction, employee engagement, productivity- financial targets, Red Rule
      compliance- zero tolerance for breaches, budgets and fiscal responsibility.

    • Patient Care: Performs imaging procedures in relative area of specialty as needed, providing safety for self, patients and all other individuals. Prepares patient for exams: gives instruction to patient regarding the procedure; assists the patient during exam and positions the patient.
    • Cost: Reviews and adjusts Kronos per time keeping policy. Adjusts staffing to maintain productivity standards. Assists In the preparation of the budget and capital planning. Provides input in capital equipment review and decisions. Manages unit supplies and orders supplies as needed.
    • People: Interviews candidates following best practices in talent selection and the interview process. Participates in the on-boarding process for new staff, ongoing competency assessments, professional development opportunities, and training staff on modality specific procedures; including students and cross-training internal candidates.
    • Quality: Achieves and maintains available ACR accreditation for assigned modalities. Participates in QAPI and quality initiatives. Ensure compliance, provides coaching, and monitors staff to ensure they are adhering to CMS and Joint Commission standards
    • Service: Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to develop relationship-based care model of delivery of services to patients. Demonstrates commitment to Centura's Core Values by participating in community events.
    Qualifications


    The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed
    :

    Required:

    • 2 years of experience as a technologist
    • ARRT, ARDMS or CNMT registry in at least one of assigned modalities
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 1 year of supervisory experience
