Dietitian, Sr. jobs in Georgia
Dietitian, Sr. reviews physicians diagnosis and designs and implements therapeutic nutritional care plans for patients utilizing general dietetic standards and regulations. Monitors and documents patient progress and consults with physicians as needed. Being a Dietitian, Sr. educates and provides guidance to staff, patients, and families regarding diet and food plans. Administers and advises food service operations to ensure menus comply with prescribed nutritional plans. Additionally, Dietitian, Sr. may supervise less experienced dieticians. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Dietitian, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. How youll make positive change:
Assesses the nutritional status of neonates/ infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient through documentation in the medical record.
Develops and revises a nutrition care plan based on information from the patient, medical record, family and health care team members.
Participates in facility-wide and department Performance Improvement Program and on Performance Improvement teams to improve processes and patient care.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Entry Level - Minimum one (1) year work experience as a dietitian preferred.
Current Licensure in the State of GA as a Dietitian
Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration).
