Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Digital Collection Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are seeking a Director of Finance and Accounting that will support the goal of making strategic financial decisions that will promote long-term financial gain for the company.

    This position oversees several staff in the Accounting Department including Payroll.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities may include the following:

    • Collaborates with other departments as a financial expert to implement the organization’s financial and strategic goals.
    • Direct and monitor all financial activity of the organization, including company cash flow, cash management, insurance, contracts, financial transactions, and more.
    • Outline and implement company-wide budget plans.
    • Prepare company financial statements monthly and annually, as needed, as well as conduct an annual performance analysis.
    • Oversee all accounting work and set up internal and external audits to ensure the accuracy of information.
    • Use data analysis to strategically forecast financial trends.
    • Work with and advise company and property leaders on solid financial decision making to increase profits and minimize losses.
    • Establish internal work processes for financial departments (including accounting and billing) and monitor their progress.
    • Analyze and interpret financial data and present the information to ownership.
    • Assess company spendings and work to reduce costs.
    • Manage Financial statements, taxed, banking, and Payroll related business objectives.

    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • Master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
    • 5 years in a senior finance or similar role required; Director-level preferred.
    • Expert in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis.
    • Finance/Accounting experience in hospitality preferred.
    • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

    • Able to travel to properties as needed, 25% travel is required.

    • Thorough knowledge of laws and regulations.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s finance/accounting systems.
    • Maintain professionalism, uphold leadership values, and collaborate amongst teams and departments to achieve company success.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently.
    • Must be able to bend, squat, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces on an occasional basis.
    • While primarily an indoor job, must be able to walk outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, heat).
    • Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift 15 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
