About this opportunity: KHQ-TV, the Inland Northwest's Local News Leader has an immediate opening for a person who loves social media, who loves to write, has a good grasp on grammar, isn't afraid to talk to people and is competitive. If this is you - we want you! We are looking for a Digital Content Producer to run our website and social media platforms. You don’t have to have any journalism experience (but it’s a plus); we can teach you how to be an awesome Journalist! You will be instructed on how to have good news judgement and create coverage on social media - to go along with our news content.
Required Qualifications & Skills: Knowledge of and desire to participate in social media; Previous experience with a professional broadcast, print, or online news organization, either as a staff member or intern is a plus; Willingness to work overtime when necessary; Ability to adapt in a changing media and technology landscape.
Other Requirements: Passion and dedication to news; Ability to meet daily deadlines and work cooperatively with other staff members; Experience editing news copy and/or video.
