Job Purpose
The Center for Engineering, Design, & Entrepreneurship (CEDE) is an integral part of the educational mission of the School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS). The main deliverable for CEDE is the Senior Design experience which is required for all SEAS students. The Academic Director (AD) reports to the Dean of SEAS and has responsibilities for both day-to-day and long-term activities within CEDE. This position requires developing and maintaining strong professional relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders including students, faculty, staff, project sponsors, liaisons, and volunteers. The AD works to maintain a smoothly functioning center and program within budget. Additionally, the AD works to enable innovative educational opportunities in design and entrepreneurship through extracurricular events and the administration of the student project labs and associated equipment.
