Description
Merrell Bros., Inc. is seeking applicants for a Full-time Marketing Specialist to join the team and support all divisions. The Digital Marketing Specialist is an integral member of the Merrell Bros Marketing team, developing, executing, and maintaining the organization's digital marketing campaigns reflecting our marketing and brand strategy. The Digital Marketing Specialist will develop and support social media campaign and ad strategies, content creation, and execution while working closely with multiple teams across the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities The Digital Marketing Specialist uses created and paid content, social advertising, social media community management, and creative storytelling to connect Merrell Bros with relevant target audiences improving brand awareness, recognition, and loyalty. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and influencers, management and support of social media groups, Google ads, social media troubleshooting, content creation, and marketing events. The ideal candidate for this role has demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for digital advertising and social media management reaching diverse audiences and is strategic, proactive, action-oriented, and driven to succeed.
Strategy & Execution (70%)
- In collaboration with the Marketing Manager, develop and post social media content for all Merrell Bros channels including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
- In consultation with the Marketing Manager, plan, manage and execute the digital marketing strategy, content strategy, editorial calendar, and communicate social media schedule.
- In coordination with the Marketing Manager, plan and execute Google Ad campaigns to drive participation, support, and engagement in Merrell Bros' marketing, sales, and advertising initiatives.
- Manage and research social media groups, events, and trends for business support.
- Implement Google and social media mechanisms on Merrell Bros websites for use with digital and social media advertising.
- Produce and edit graphics for social media posts and campaigns, as needed.
- Customize content for key targeted audiences.
- Based on assessment, drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
- Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
- Assists in the coordination of retail sales program/tools for bagged and future products.
- Load in/out and attends trade shows and community fairs and staffs the company booth and produces displays/digital content.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Analytics & Maintenance (30%)
- Utilize strong analytical ability to evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
- Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Identify trends and insights to optimize spending and performance based on those findings.
- Support the organization and management of Merrell Bros’ YouTube Channel.
- Manage engagement and responses across all social media channels.
- Demonstrate measurable results that are aligned with the company's strategic plan.
- Analyze the performance of social media content and digital advertising campaigns, research digital communications trends, and adjust as needed to grow following and engagement.
- Troubleshoot and provide solutions for social media platforms as needed.

Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tell stories that bring Merrell Bros’ mission and brand voice to life.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, or related software.
- A creative thinker with a developed understanding of the need to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
- A strong knowledge of digital marketing and social media standards and best practices, as well as recent trends.
- An aptitude for content creation, and the ability to decide the needs of various channels and to coordinate and execute the best possible formats for each.
- Deep knowledge of social media platforms and how individuals of all ages are best engaging with content across those brands.
- Effective verbal communications skills in both one-on-one and group settings.
- Creative, collaborative, and highly organized in your approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- A proactive self-starter with the ability to effectively manage several projects at once, prioritize responsibilities, and work in high-pressure situations.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Basic photography and video skills.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Journalism, Advertising, Communications, or related field.
- Three to five years of job-related experience managing digital marketing and strategic content creation.
- Experience in the environmental or agriculture industry is a plus.
- Proven track record of planning, executing, and measuring successful digital marketing and social media campaigns.
- Experience with Sprout Social, Sprinklr, Loomly, or alternative social media management platform is desired.
- Portfolio of relevant previous projects is not required but preferred.
