We are looking for a Sales Representative to join our Local Counter Sales/End User Team.
American Direct is looking for a motivated and driven individual to help our organization continue its expansion across the country. If you have the experience and qualifications outlined below, we want to hear from you!
Duties and Responsibilities
- Cover all counter sales, this includes quoting, order entry, printing picking/packing slips as required and coordinating with your assigned ADFC.
- Quote small jobs in cERP, these are normally emailed to you by local customers, any larger projects will need to go into ePEWS/Sugar programs
- Always keep your supervisor informed of your larger Sales opportunities.
- Closing work with customer, maintaining require mark-up, making sure to cover hidden costs. e.g. freight, keying, shop labor etc.
- Check stock for each Non-Contract Sale ensuring you can supply materials in the required time frame before accepting the sale.
- Monitor Stock levels with the warehouse and order and assist in replenishing fast-moving stock.
- Coordinating with your warehouse and fellow employees is paramount to your success.
- Able to review job specifications and blueprints – prepare take-offs if not provided.
- Obtain competitive prices from various vendors to support targeted project work, for material not in stock.
- Maintain job folder with quotes, correspondence, specifications, and amendments.
- Update and maintain CRM daily.
- Ensure prompt and timely submittal of proposals to our customers.
- Sustain a good working relationship with vendors, customers, and prospective customers.
- Analyze take-off and specification information and develop knowledge to translate information to vendor nomenclature and Customer Quote Form.
- Be ready to partner with Non-Contract Sales team to share in sales across the country. The team will also be available to help with sales in your area.
- Work closely with database information to determine bid dates and priorities.
- Review receipt of any customer P.O.s for accuracy, then forward with the associated Sales Order number to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
- Develop relationships with customers through reliable and consistent communication of information. Demonstrate the highest standards of customer service and strive for unequaled customer satisfaction. Always keep your backlog in check.
- Routine travel may be required for jobsite visits (10-15%).
Preferred Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience for the door, frames, and hardware industry.
- Experience generating revenue through prospecting and closing transactions.
- Excellent communication, follow-up and closing skills.
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Previous estimating and/or project management experience.
- Division 8 experience
- Division 10 experience
- Division 28 experience
- BS Degree.
- DHI Certifications.
