Roles and Responsibilities

• Define supplier strategy including management and optimization of parts for control cabinets.
• Lead negotiations and allocate needs to specific suppliers. Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information to Procurement. Manage claims. Includes commercial sourcing management such as data analysis, negotiations support, etc. This may also include purchasing activities.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
• A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor, with proven interpersonal skills. Communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered. Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
• Impacts projects, processes and procedures in own field. The role operates with some autonomy, but is focused on execution of activities/provision of advice within an enabling discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Activities require professional judgment, but may require more senior levels of guidance.
• Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• Vendor Add and Management workflows for direct material vendors.
• PIR updates for mechanical, hardware, electrical, electronic, EMD commodities.
• Review and approve Purchase Orders over 50K in SAP.
• Offer requestors guidance how to use the PO request WF for services and the vendor management WF.
• Offer requestors guidance on the new vendor onboarding and vendor update process (double check if a vendor is in SAP, is it set up correctly etc.)
• Invoice resolution when AP issues are being escalated.
• Terms negotiation: NDA, payment terms and T&Cs/MSA.
• Approved Source List (ASL) Update.
• Monthly deflation analysis.
• Expedites and vendor relationship management for mechanical, hardware, electrical, electronic, EMD commodities.
• ITO and NPI support.
• Quarterly direct services spend report.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 3 Years Sourcing, Materials or Global Supply Chain Experience
• Strong financial/ quantitative, analytical skills, data driven.
• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access & PowerPoint), Tableau.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in supplier development.
• Experience with SAP ERP system.
• Commodity/ FX Risk Management Experience.
• Highly motivated/ results/ metrics driven with a desire to learn and grow in sourcing /supply chain.
• Demonstrated negotiation and contract management skills, as well as ability to leverage data to prioritize.
• Capable of challenging the status quo, driving process improvements, direct material productivity and cost out.
• OMLP or ASPIRE graduate (Applicable to Internal Baker Hughes/GE).

This role is open to remote and must be located in the U.S.

The base pay range for this position is  $91,200.00 - $130,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. ​

*The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
