At Simple Beginnings we are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as day and grave shift staff on the weekends. The purpose of a Direct Support Professional (DSP) is to assist our clients in their day to day lives. You would do this by teaching them skills like problem solving, cooking, cleaning, and helping them make their own choices. Our goal is to help our clients find and maintain healthy relationships, become a part of their community and become more independent in their lives.

Job Description:

• Must have verbal and written communication skills adequate to the specific job.
• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age if transporting clients
• Approved Background Clearance Application through the Office of Licensing annually.
• Must be able to meet minimum training requirements and complete renewals as assigned.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support and supervision during the afternoon and evening hours.
• Assist residents with daily activities, including meal preparation, personal hygiene , and recreational activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the group home.
• Administer medications to residents as prescribed and ensure all medical needs are met.
• Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a consistent and supportive environment.
• Keep accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and resident progress.
• Offer emotional support and engage residents in social and recreational activities.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow team members.

Compensation:

• Our current pay rate is $18 /hr.

Staff will be trained before they work alone with any client in:

CPR/First Aid

ABI

Disability Overview

Mental Health

HIPPA Laws

Positive Behavior Supports

Seizures

Other trainings required by the State of Utah

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
