    Job Summary/Basic Function
    As a Stage Technician, you will assist with the set-up, strike, and run of all shows that take place at the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts (VBC). Will be trained while working through hands on experience in Departmental, University and Professional touring company’s shows. While the VBC facilitates over 200 events a year, the hours do vary depending on the various show schedules. Expect most shifts to take place in the afternoon and evenings with very few morning calls. Pay starts a $10 dollars an hour but will be adjusted according to skill level and motivation to excel in the areas of Stage Management, Lighting, Sound, A/V, Rigging and other various skills.

    **This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

    Required Qualifications
    Applicant should have good communication skills, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform minor physical labor and not be afraid of heights.

    Interest in sound, lighting, A/V or stage management is preferred
