The Red Cross is looking for individuals to join the Disability Integration Team. This is an unpaid position. The team was created to ensure that all disaster relief shelters and other services: delivery sites/programs/services are equally accessible to all clients, including those with disabilities, as well as access and functional needs.

This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department. Disability Integration Team Member is a region-level position that serves as a functional lead in disability integration, inclusion, and access and functional needs.

Disability Integration Team Members may support the Regional Lead in the following ways: - Organizing Rosters, meetings and tracking trainings - Onboarding and Training procedures - Facility Surveys - Specific Relationship Management - Resource Gathering - Providing specific subject matter consultation and guidance to regional disaster leadership in planning for and responding to disasters that impact individuals with disabilities and others with access and functional needs.

Development Opportunities

• Become proficient in Disability Integration entry tasks. Once proficient, career development to supervisory/management positions and ability to go to disaster beyond the region.
