What is a Float Direct Support Professional?
Our Float Direct Support Professionals provide staffing support to the organization; they are adaptable and flexible and will have the skill set to be able to work across our program sites. Float DSP’s will be scheduled for 40 hours/week based on the openings within our organization in a combination of some pre-schedule shifts and some on-call shifts.

Where and when will I work?
Float Direct Support Professionals must be available to work a flexible schedule and be available between the hours of 6:00 am – 10:00 pm. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). As much as possible a schedule may be determined a week in advance, however the position is subject to short term schedule changes. To provide consistency for the position the Float DSP will have a weekly predetermined week and weekend day off each week (or every other weekend). What skills are required to be a Float Direct Support Professional?
The Float Direct Support Professional must have had a minimum of one years prior experience supporting people with disabilities in their homes. All employees must be at least 18 years old and be able to pass a MN Department of Human Services Background Study. This position does require a valid drivers license, vehicle (we offer paid mileage), and the ability to be deemed eligible to drive per our insurance requirements. Applicants should be comfortable using a computer for documentation, email, and time reporting.
