The CCIU is currently offering a sign on bonus of up to $1,500 for candidates who apply and are subsequintly hired for a position between March 16, 2023, and October 31, 2023. More information will be shared with eligible individuals at the time of hire.
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Perform secretarial responsibilities for the Head Start, Early Head Start, and state funded preschool program. Be an effective liaison between program staff, the public, parents, and other entities as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Staff Related Duties:
- Maintain inventory and submit requests for health related supplies
- Coordinate and schedule health services for students, such as fluoride varnishing, vaccination clinics, classroom instruction, etc…
- Prepare materials for parent and staff training and home visits related to health materials
2. Student/Child Related Duties:
- Input health and disability related date into Student Management System
- Follow up with families, medical offices, community resources, and program staff as needed to ensure all student medical requirements are up-to-date
- Coordinate, interpret for, and submit all information related to student screenings
3. Miscellaneous Duties:
- Help Answer phone calls for the Gordon Early Literacy Center as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by program leadership

QUALIFICATIONS:
A. Education and Experience
1. High school diploma or equivalent required
2. Bilingual and biliterate in Spanish and English required
3. Prior secretarial or related experience preferred

a. Ability to write reports and complete documents that conform to prescribed style and format.
b. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, co-workers, and the general public.
c. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal and external customers.

a. Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts in the performance of routine assignments.
3. Reasoning Ability
a. Ability to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Salary 2023-2024:
- $28,842 - $36,053
- Support (SVH), Band 10
Schedule:
7.5 hrs. per day; Monday- Friday 8AM - 3:30PM;
190 days a year
