Disaster Recovery Administrator implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Job Summary Assist in establishing organizational best practices for recovery in the event of a ransomware attack. *Schedule and manage meetings between security groups, the business areas, and IT infrastructure. *Documenting and following-up on deliverables as new procedures, business continuance practices and organizational impacts are implemented during assessments on how to recover operations in the event of an attack * Identify and make recommendations regarding critical points of failure. * Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. * Assist in the coordination, and testing, of recovery and resumption plans. * Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. * Perform a variety of tasks. * Work under general supervision. NOTE: This hybrid role can be located in CHICAGO IL or RICHARDSON TX ~ relocation will not be offered; sponsorship is not available. Required Job Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree and 2 years experience in disaster recovery planning, process analysis, and general business systems analyst. * Requires in-depth knowledge and experience. * Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. * Independently solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. * Works independently, receives minimal guidance. Preferred Job Qualifications: * Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. * Understanding of public cloud environments (Azure, AWS) * Industry certifications a plus (CBCP, MBCP, DRCS) * Experience with RSA Archer Are you being referred to one of our roles?
