Participates in risk management analysis and assists with the creation of business continuity, contingency, and disaster recovery plans. Being a Disaster Recovery Analyst develops and executes the testing processes utilized to validate the disaster recovery plans. May implement and administer a database and tools used to track and manage event response and recovery process. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst requires a bachelor's degree of computer science or related field. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.
