Disaster Recovery Analyst jobs in Olive Branch, MS

Disaster Recovery Analyst implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Analyst identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Opportunity Description:

    This position supports the Regional Disaster Cycle Services department.

    • The Sheltering Service Associate is a temporary position assigned to work in person in a Red Cross shelter before, during and/or after a disaster event.
    • Sheltering Service Associates complete tasks necessary for shelter operations and interacts with clients to ensure their needs are met.
    • Sheltering Service Associates support the day-to-day activities within a shelter, which can include working in reception, registration, feeding, dormitory, information or other areas within a shelter.

    Responsibilities:

    • Follow all American Red Cross policies and procedures in their work with clients, disaster responders and partners
    • Deliver excellent client service, support shelter operations at the direction of an assigned Shelter Supervisor
    • Report availability and schedule shelter shifts

    Requirements:

    • Willing and able to volunteer in person in a disaster shelter before, during and/or after a disaster event.
    • Ability to work in a continuously changing environment in which work priorities may change frequently.
    • Comfortable interacting with people from various diverse background whose lives have been disrupted and many are presenting immediate needs.
    • Comfortable working in a team environment as a frontline worker under the direction of a supervisor
    • Minimum 16 years of age
    • Available to sign up for shifts on consecutive days (shifts may be 4, 8 or 12 hours long)
    • Willing to complete 3.5 hours of virtual self-paced training required for position
    • Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in English
    • Willingness to comply with current public health and Red Cross policies

    Job Type: Part-time

    Pay: Up to $1.00 per year

    Expected hours: 2 – 4 per week
