Disaster Recovery Analyst implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Analyst identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Title: Promotor Comunitario (CALOES1)
    Starting Wage: $20 per hour
    Reports to: Project Coordinator
    Location: Santa Maria Guadalupe and Nipomo
    FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
    Position Status: Regular, Part Time (up to 30 hrs. per week)
    Effective Date: August 1, 2023, ending on or before December 31, 2024

    POSITION SUMMARY

    Under the direct supervision of the Project Coordinator, the Promotor Comunitario will conduct outreach and educational
    activities in the assigned region to increase communities’ disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation
    capabilities.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify and secure potential sites and groups to provide information to regarding emergency preparedness
    and resources.
    • Participate in town halls, door-to-door canvassing, tabling events, and to connect with the community
    members, engage them with the educational materials, and identify gaps in existing local emergency plans and
    resources.
    • Deliver presentations on emergency preparedness and share materials at schools, faith-based communities,
    workplaces, clinics, food banks and other spaces.
    • Participate in training provided by Visión y Compromiso. Dates to be determined.
    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and files on all outreach and educational activities conducted including
    how many community members have been reached and engaged.
    • Maintain consistent and constant communication with the Project Coordinator regarding all program

    components including attending meetings with the program team.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    EDUCATION

    There is no minimum educational requirement.

    EXPERIENCE

    • A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with monolingual and/or bilingual Latino communities
    • A minimum of one (1) year of experience conducting outreach and providing community health education.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

    Valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize a reliable alternative method of transportation when needed to
    carry out job-related essential functions. Valid automobile liability insurance.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, groups, and the public. A bilingual
    candidate in Spanish and English is highly desired.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Basic computer skills for the purpose of data entry during enrollment events, sending and receiving email, and calendar
    scheduling. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is preferred.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    Ability to travel locally within the assigned region as required.

    PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience conducting successful outreach in diverse settings.
    • Experience with support groups, self-help groups and the utilization of community resources.
    • Experience in providing educational and outreach activities to adults.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Availability to work the required hours as required.
    • Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule, including shifts on weekends and evenings.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform

    The employee will sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers up to 10% of the time. The employee will be driving/traveling up
    to 20% of the time. The employee will stand 40% of the time and walk up to 30% of the time. The employee is routinely
    required to carry and/or lift 10 pounds and occasionally 25lbs.

    Work environment varies with the locations at which outreach, and educational activities are conducted. Brief exposure to
