Disaster Recovery Analyst implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Analyst identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Responsibilities

    In collaboration with TMH leaders, the IT Disaster Recovery Analyst:

    • Responsible for coordinating and developing disaster recovery plans.
    • Develop, recommend, and implement procedures to ensure the organization can respond to a disaster so that the critical information technology (IT) functions can be resumed within a defined time frame, and the amount of loss can be minimized and the stricken facilities repaired or replaced as quickly as possible.
    • Responsible for coordinating maintenance of and exercising (testing) the recovery plans for each critical functional unit.

    • IT/Manager Infrastructure Manager

    Supervises:

    • None

    Qualifications

    Required Education:

    • Required: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information security, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on work experience.

     

    Required Experience:

    • Required: Five (5) years of progressive IT experience
    • Experience and demonstrated proficiency in DR program execution, managing process change projects, and knowledge of the disaster recovery program lifecycle
    • Technically strong; working knowledge of system hardware, software, protocols, standards, and back-up software
    • Ability to work independently and to take emergent decisions on one’s own
    • Strong ITIL service management knowledge around service design, change management, incident management, and continuity management
    • Proficient in using Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (including MS Visio and MS Project);
    • Preferred: Two (2) years of experience in disaster recovery (DR)/business continuity and Healthcare background 

    Required Certification/License/Registry:

    • Preferred certifications: ITIL Foundation, DRII or BCI

    Workplace Type:
