Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • Position Summary:

    Peaks Recovery is a leading provider of behavioral health treatment services, including substance use disorder treatment and mental health care. We are seeking a qualified and experienced Medical Director to lead our medical team and oversee all clinical and medical services in alignment with the statutes set by the Colorado Office of Behavioral Health (OBH). The Medical Director will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our clients while adhering to ethical, legal, and medical standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Clinical Leadership: Provide medical oversight, direction, and supervision for the clinical team, ensuring all medical practices and procedures comply with OBH statutes and regulations.
    • Patient Care: As needed, conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
    • Quality Assurance: Monitor and improve the quality of medical care provided, ensuring evidence-based practices and treatment modalities are utilized.
    • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations, as well as Peaks Recovery policies and procedures. Stay updated with changes in regulations and medical standards.
    • Education and Training: Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and support to medical and clinical staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare providers, clinicians, and support staff to provide comprehensive care to clients.
    • Client Advocacy: Advocate for clients' best interests and ensure their rights and dignity are respected throughout their treatment journey.
    • Documentation: Oversee and ensure accurate and timely documentation of medical records and treatment plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
    • Community Engagement: Represent Peaks Recovery at community events and in professional forums to promote the organization's mission and services.
    • Performance Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing policies to enhance care delivery.

    Qualifications:

    • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree with active licensure to practice medicine in Colorado.
    • Board-certified in Psychiatry, Addiction Medicine, or a related field.
    • Current DEA License is required.
    • Current NPI is required.
    • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a medical leadership role within a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting.
    • In-depth knowledge of OBH statutes, regulations, and best practices in behavioral health treatment.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
    • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and lead by example.
