Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Director to join our team. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the development, management, and implementation of our programs. This is a leadership role that requires strong relationship management skills, budgeting expertise, and a passion for program development. Ascension is a Residential treatment center for substance use disorder that does both 3.5 and 3.1 levels of care. We also offer IOP.
Duties:
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, firing, evaluating and disciplinary needs for all clinical staff.
- Oversight, supervision, and quality assurance of all mental health and AODE clinical services including both record keeping and direct services.
- Ensure adherence to the required HIPAA and documentation requirements as identified by county, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Work with Leadership in program development.
- Ensure clinical services are in compliance with the county, state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Responsible for the direct provision or oversight of clinical Staff for all unlicensed and non-independently licensed clinical staff in compliance with the standards of county, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
- Ensure compliance with AODE, BHSO, and CARF regulations and standards including service provision requirements according to LOC and Ascension Program Descriptions.
- Provide and/or coordinate clinical trainings for all clinical and program staff on Mental Health and AODE and other clinical topics relevant to services provided by Ascension Center for Recovery.
- Coordinate client care, review treatment plans, case notes, pre-certs, and written correspondence in order to verify that all meet county, state and federal agency standards.
- In collaboration with the UR oversee the audit of clinical charts to insure adherence to county, state, and federal statutes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate clinical operations.
- Provision of clinical counseling including record keeping and direct services from intake to discharge.
- Responsible for the direct provision or oversight of board-approved clinical supervision for all unlicensed and non-autonomously licensed clinical staff in compliance with the standards of state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Ensure clinical staff have achieved all required continuing education units (CEUs) to maintain both personal and facility licensure, including 20 substance-abuse-specific CEUs as well as mandatory trainings required by therapists’ respective boards.
- Coordinate client care, review treatment plans, case management notes, peer support notes, pre-certs, and written correspondence in order to verify that all meet state and federal agency standards.
- Oversee the audit of clinical charts to insure adherence to state and federal statutes.
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations in the development of policies and procedures relating to Ascension Center for Recovery.
- Rapidly respond to communications regarding facility operations including text, email, phone, verbal, written, or other media and immediately take action to rectify problems or adjust programming as needed.
- Notify Leadership Staff of the arrival of licensure or accreditation auditors and maintain vigilant compliance in anticipation of their inspections.
- Manage Clinical staff work schedules and assigned duties to maintain program operation
- Ensure proper utilization of Ascension’s Curriculum in therapeutic group sessions.
- Responsible for evaluating and disciplinary needs for all clinical staff under their management, including recommendation for promotion or demotion and coordinating these matters with the Director of Operations and Executive Director for final approval.
- Oversight, supervision, and quality assurance of multiple programs
- In coordination with the Director of Operations, facilitate Departmental Meetings on a weekly basis to ensure coordinated implementation of treatment plans and service utilization such that the comprehensive care of clients reflects the philosophy and objectives of Ascension Center for Recovery.
- In conjunction with the Director of Operations act as a liaison with other community service providers and agencies serving Ascension Center for Recovery clients as needed.
- Participate in Leadership Meetings, attend graduations/board meetings as needed.
- Perform other clinical and supervisory duties as assigned.
- Ensure program services/groups are covered when clinicians are absent due to illness, personal days and vacations.
- Ensure professional liability insurance is current.
- Coordinate with Admissions staff on clinical approvals for new intakes.
- Complete Psychosocial Assessments and assign clients to clinicians based upon program need, payer source, and clinician billable status. Assign clients to autonomously licensed clinicians for Assessment.
- Oversee accuracy of Caseload Rosters including billing status, primary clinician, and referrals/LOC changes.
- Compile client session appointments across clinical team into a single weekly appointment scheduler and distribute to relevant departments.
- Provide therapy for clients each week.
- Assist and work with the Director of Operation and Executive Director regarding strategic and long-range planning as needed.
· Knowledge of recovery, mental health and other co-occurring disorders and experience in working with addiction in a residential and / or intensive outpatient milieu.
- Set the standard of professional excellence by providing a personal example of ethical behavior, complete and accurate charting, and diligent service.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, behavioral science or equivalent field of study.
- Must possess a valid license from the state of Kentucky Mental Health Licensing Board.
- Acceptable licenses are: LPCC, LCSW.
- Must have 3 years in license; with 2 years of clinical supervisory experience.
- Must have knowledge of recovery, mental health and other co-occurring disorders and experience in working with addiction in a residential and / or intensive outpatient milieu.
- Prefer experience working with various funding streams and ability to collaborate with our billing department.
- Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Prefer completed supervisory training and ability to supervise associates in comparable board.
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license.
