Village West Discount Liquors in Kansas City, KS is looking for one Part Time Assistant Manager to join our team. We are located just west of The Legends Shopping Center. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Train, coach, and develop employees and team leaders.
• Delegate tasks to team and provide follow-up.
• Hold team accountable for their performance; provide coaching and counseling as needed.
• Ensure team provides fast, friendly, and accurate service.
• Ensure product quality, cleanliness, maintenance and security standards are met.
• Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and have no felony convictions per Kansas law to work in a retail liquor store.
• Must have retail management experience.
• Knowledge of beer, wine and/or spirits is preferred.
• Must be able to work most evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds easily.
• Excellent communication skills to connect effectively with customers and co-workers.
• Possess a positive attitude and ethics which support our values and culture.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, high-volume, clean, customer-focused retail store.
• Strong time-management skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize.
