• Assist customers, both internal and external, by answering questions and providing information over the telephone and in person
• Communicates with management and customer service on route driver locations as requested, deliveries that will not be made within delivery windows, and truck breakdowns
• Gathers and records delivery time information from route drivers
• Check, tabulate, or enter data as needed
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to customers
• Perform a variety of general clerical duties including computer data entry, typing, and maintaining files and records
• Assist with Department projects
• Reassigns drivers to delivery routes as needed
• Answer customer phone calls and route calls to the correct recipients
• Monitor electronic gps/eld activities on a daily basis or as needed
• Participates in the required monthly safety training to assure drivers are current

• Special projects and/or other related duties as assigned

• Principles of customer service
• Basic mathematics
• Modern office methods, practices, procedures and equipment
• 10-key proficiency; good data entry skills
• Computer proficiency including Word, Excel, Outlook
• SAP experience preferred

• Perform procedures in an organized and accurate manner; meet deadlines regularly
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and customers
• Operate a computer for a variety of applications
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff and outside customers
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Problem solve and research issues
• Take and follow directions to stay on task in a fast-paced environment while maintaining tact and composure  

• Two (2) years of dispatching experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Frequent use of keyboard
• Frequent sitting for long periods of time
• Occasional bending or squatting
• Frequent decision-making and concentration
• Frequent exposure to noise
• Frequent reading and close-up work
• Frequent hearing and talking in person and on the phone
• Frequent repetitive motion; frequent writing, grasping, holding and reaching
• Frequent decision-making and concentration

• Work is performed in a typical temperature-controlled office environment subject to typical office noise and environment
• Occasional travel required
