Distance Learning and Education Director manages administrative functions of the distance learning program. Develops college strategic initiatives and participates in university long-term planning and policy setting. Being a Distance Learning and Education Director leads college in fundraising and cultivating relationships with donors. Job Goal: The Somerville Center for Adult Learning Experiences (S.C.A.L.E.) anticipates an opening for the SCALE Distance Learning Coordinator position. The DLC is grant funded stipend position. Under the direction of the SCALE Director of Continuing Education, the SCALE Distance Learning Coordinator will serve as an integral member of the SCALE leadership team, providing advice, counsel, coaching, and digital integration support to program administrators, teachers, education and career advisors, and students. In addition, the DLC will serve as a resource to instructional staff to assist them in teaching in an online environment.
