General Statement Of Duties:
Develops and implements educational curriculum and technology utilizing current on-line educational practices to provide educational programs for the Colorado Judicial Department employees specific to court services via distance learning.
Distinguishing Factors:
Positions in this classification are distinguished from lower level positions due to demonstrated expertise in distance learning technology, methods and tools. This position is distinguished from the Court Education Specialist classification due to the specific development of on-line education services. Supervision is received from the Distance Learning Program Manager.
This position is in the Division of Court Services at the Colorado State Court Administrator’s Office and will develop and design on demand asynchronous modules for the Colorado Judicial Department under the supervision of the Distance Learning Program Manager.
The qualified candidate will have regular on the job experience in scripting, voice-over/narration, video editing, software simulation, instructional design, and utilizing design authoring software for interactive asynchronous training modules. The candidate will also have great customer service skills and be a positive team player. Other responsibilities may include committee work, technical assistance, virtual conference producing, traveling to a judicial district, and general support for judicial staff statewide. The hiring salary for this position will be at or near the beginning of the listed salary range.
The Division of Court Services office is located in Denver at the Ralph Carr Judicial Center. Court Services operates from a flexible workplace arrangement policy where both remote and in-person work are utilized on an individual basis.

Supervisor Responsibilities:
No formal supervisory responsibility. Responsibility for one's own work product and work within a unit performing similar functions. Rarely provides lead function, advice, or explains work instructions to other employees or volunteers.
Minimum Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree and two years of online training systems experience. Education may be substituted with Distance Learning Technology experience on a year for year basis. Experience with distance learning pedagogy and technology preferred.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; use hands and fingers to perform repetitive motions; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. This position requires 25-50% travel.
