Distribution Clerk performs a variety of clerical, customer service, and administrative duties to support operations of a distribution center. Monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels are available to fulfill all orders. Being a Distribution Clerk ensures that all required paperwork, including labels, packing lists, and transport instructions, is prepared. Utilizes tracking systems to input or look up information. Additionally, Distribution Clerk complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Responsible for all distribution related activities including vehicle ordering, pricing, and tracking, and monitoring the following: vehicle customs, importation, allocation, Monroney Label, master data maintenance, and sales system development/maintenance. Ensure departmental operations are aligned with the achievement of corporate business plan. Develop all policies and procedures for Distribution.
1st Priority - 40%
Distribution responsibilities include all vehicle ordering, pricing, tracking, and importation of product to KUS dealers and Fleet accounts. Ensure all Regional production orders meet KUS requirements and operating goals. Minimize frozen assets by reducing the volume of aged port inventory through order management/allocation. Review regional production orders to ensure support of Kia HQ requirements and KUS goals.
2nd Priority - 20%
Develop annual WS Business Plan to minimize cost of sales in distributing product throughout the U.S. and track/monitor monthly performance versus objectives and should adjustments be necessary, recommend corrective actions.
3rd Priority - 15%
Manage all systems related to sales, production ordering, allocation, master data, pricing, etc. to meet operational requirements of KUS. Should system enhancements be required to accommodate operational changes such as new products or new business opportunities, coordinate with the department’s SME to develop these systems on a timely basis.
4th Priority - 15%
Oversee the development and/or enhancements of dealer focused sales related systems - allocation, KFOS, sales reporting, Web DCS, etc. by coordinating with the departments and SME.
5th Priority - 10%
Monitor regional allocations to ensure WS objectives can be achieved. If issues exist, work with the regions, and recommend corrective actions.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
Master’s degree or completion of an executive education program preferred.
At least 10 years experience in an import automotive environment as a manager providing direction for supervisors/managers and exempt level employees.
At least 5 years sales and management experience in automotive environment.
At least 10 years distribution management and/or sales planning and analysis experience in regional and national levels.
At least 10 years experience in developing sales systems and reporting.
Pay Range
$125,884.00 - $176,325.00
Pay will be based on several variables that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, etc.
