Distribution Director manages and deploys the operational strategy, business processes, and systems for overall distribution operations, including order fulfillment, warehousing, inventory management, and transportation. Communicates and monitors production measurement metrics and sets performance targets at the team and individual level for all distribution-related functions that align with company objectives and are within regulatory guidelines. Being a Distribution Director utilizes data-driven analytical tools and systems to continuously monitor operations, identify inefficiencies, and develop optimization strategies. Troubleshoots and resolves escalated operational issues. Additionally, Distribution Director ensures all operations adhere to industry safety protocols and comply with OSHA, DOT, or other governmental regulations. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Distribution Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Distribution Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. We are looking for an experienced fulfillment associate to handle daily shipping and distribution operations. You will be the one to ensure complete orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. A successful fulfillment associate is analytical, well-organized and excels in communication. They must be comfortable with paperwork and have great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. The goal is to ensure that the shipping processes are running smoothly and effectively.
Responsibilities
- Use software to track, check, prioritize, and ship orders
- Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notices, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
- Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
- Inspect labels, barcodes, and other features of completed orders
- Handle pick and packing orders
- Report to management on activities and issues
Skills
- Proven experience with pick and pack
- Shipstation experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
