The Distribution Operations Manager ensures distribution staff deliver efficient operations and timely deliveries to meet distribution performance goals. Manages the distribution of products, parts, and inventory. Being a Distribution Operations Manager direct warehouse operations including transportation, maintenance and order management. Analyze existing processes and propose improvements and new methods to control costs and enhance customer satisfaction. In addition, Distribution Operations Manager may require an associate's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Distribution Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.
