POSITION SUMMARY:

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operates equipment to clear brush and transport material.
2. Operate all equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
3. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
4. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment, as necessary.
5. Maneuver equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
6. Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
7. Represent the Company in an ethical and proper manner.
8. Perform all duties in an independent manner with minimal direction and supervision by consistently showing ability to recognize and deal with priorities.
9. Recognize and perform duties which need to be completed although not directly assigned.
10. Work well, and maintain cooperative working relationships, with the managers, employees, vendors, suppliers, and customers
11. Operate equipment on public roadways if needed and maintain proper awareness of ones surroundings.
12. Consistently show ability to recognize and deal with multiple priorities; Demonstrate ability to tactfully handle stressful or difficult situations.
13. Maintain a well-groomed, professional appearance appropriate for the position and within policy guidelines.
14. Be dependable, report to work on time, and provide proper notification of whereabouts when absence from work is unavoidable.
15. Attend webinars/seminars/training to update and improve position knowledge for him/herself and the company in relation to the position or tasks required to perform the job successfully.
16. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
17. Perform all other duties as requested or assigned and as business operations and conditions require.
18. Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
19. Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 2 to 3 years’ experience operating skid steer is preferred.
• Knowledge of skid steer operation as well as an understanding of computerized controls and electronics.

A valid driver’s license is required.
