Document Control Analyst administers document and record control operations, policies, and procedures for the secure management and access of company information assets. Maintains and enforces security protocols for the access, storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all documents. Being a Document Control Analyst evaluates media formats and follows storage requirements to protect and secure records/information. Analyzes access and control procedures to comply with requirements for varying levels of security classifications specified by the governing authority. Essential Functions:
Document control clerks categorize, file, and retrieve documents using specific classification and organization systems. Clerks are responsible for the orderly recording and keeping of physical and electronic documents, including distributing new documents and discarding obsolete records.
Specific Responsibilities Include:
· Responsible for organizing all files including the old ones for proper storage.
· Making sure that its property and confidentiality is protected.
· Ensure all technical documents, such as reports, drawings, and blueprints, are collected and registered in system – Traverse.
· Responsible for Bill of Material (BOM) updates and entry into MRP and assigning routers to production work orders.
· Responsible for reproducing needed documents.
· Handling the distribution of those documents.
· Scans and proofreads the papers before distributing it.
· Codes and labels all files for easy monitoring and tracing of documents.
· Notify personnel of updated document versions and how to access them.
· Work with documents and records across various departments within the organization.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
· Comply with plant safety procedures to ensure a safe environment.
Education:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
