Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting department, preparing financial reports, and maintaining accurate financial records. Duties
- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Manage regulatory reporting requirements to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop and implement financial management strategies to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct regular audits of financial processes and systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for management review, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Supervise the accounting team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles including GAAP and IFRS.
- Proficiency in double entry bookkeeping practices.
- Experience with payroll processing and related compliance issues.
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements in the finance sector.
- Excellent financial report writing skills to communicate complex information clearly.
- Experience using accounting software such as Sage or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial analysis.
