Document Imaging Operator operates document imaging equipment to create electronic files or archives. Prepares documents for scanning, scans documents, and verifies quality of digital images. Being a Document Imaging Operator indexes and stores images according to organization guidelines. Troubleshoots and makes adjustments to equipment when necessary. Additionally, Document Imaging Operator typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Document Imaging Operator possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.     Position Summary 

    Produces diagnostic images of anatomic structures and records physiologic data utilizing ionizing radiation, giving the utmost attention to the needs of the patient and family with limited direct supervision. Provides service to patients throughout the life span including newborns, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics.


    Minimum Qualifications 

      • Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED.  Graduate of an approved two year program in Radiologic Technology.
      • Minimum Experience:  None.
      • Certification/Licensure:  Holds and maintains current registry certificate of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.  Holds and maintains current New Mexico State Certificate as a Radiographic Radiologic Technologist. 

    CPR certification.

    Certification or completion courses must meet the standards of Memorial Medical Center.
