Shared Imaging is looking for a Full Time Class A CDL Driver/Transportation Specialist in the Southeast (USA - GA, SC, AL) area.
Transportation specialists shall consistently display competent driving skills in conjunction with transportation of the mobile units and trucks. Meet Shared Imaging's standards for excellence by maintaining current DOT regulations, current CDL, Class "A" classification , current DOT physical card, accident free driving record, maintenance requirements for the trailers and trucks as required, proper unit set-up and tear-down. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers, clients, medical personnel, technologists, supervisors and managers at service sites. Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of equipment mechanical operations.
Essential Requirements and Functions:
The overall goal of the Transportation specialist is to safely deliver mobile assets on time with quality.
Hold a Class A CDL License
Automatic and Manual transmission experience is required (no restrictions)
Proper set-up and tear-down system and understanding the difference between trailer type
Assist in troubleshooting and minor repairs on tractor and trailers.
Develop a collaborative relationship with peers, supervisors, clients, managers, technologists, and site personnel.
Develop an in-depth knowledge of the mechanical aspects of the systems.
Maintain a clean driving record and no chargeable accidents.
Ability to use personal computer, e-mail, smart phone, ELDs, & tablets
Flexibility to cover last minute schedule changes, work weekends, and some Holidays may be required.
Complete all required trainings annually.
Work Schedule:
Evening/overnight shift, 2 overnights per week, sleeper cab provided
Typical schedule is Monday - Thursday, late evening. Weekends vary based on scanning needs.
Evening start time, 6pm - depending on residency. Pick up trailer, move to location, set the trailer and move after scanning is complete the next day
Lifting Requirements:
Medium to Heavy - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10-25 pounds of force up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects or lift materials related to the setup, break down or transport of a system. The Physical demand requirements are considered heavy work.
Hazardous Exposure Potential
Involves an inherent potential for skin contact with petroleum, oil, diesel fuel and lubricants.
Use of appropriate protective measures and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required for every employee
High School graduate or GED equivalent
Driver training school completion or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Two years' experience as a driver transporting semi-trailers.
One year over-the-road experience preferred
Preferred candidate location; near Macon or Augusta, GA
