Documentation Manager manages the production of functional, configuration, and user interface documentation for computer software and hardware products. Develops and deploys standardized documentation methods and tools to efficiently produce high-quality content. Being a Documentation Manager establishes processes for effective document control. Plans and directs documentation projects and timelines. Additionally, Documentation Manager may act as final approver or editor for projects. Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Documentation Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Documentation Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Description:
    Complete all steps necessary to process and complete documents for the export of the container and bulk shipment business.
    Responsibilities and Duties:
    • Complete accurate export paperwork in a timely manner for customers prior to shipment arriving at destination.
    • Provide information or answer inquiries quicky and professionally with other departments, customer and shipping lines.
    • Problem solving within the company as well as with outside sources, referring to quality, quantity or other concerns.
    • Conduct thorough review of export documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company standards.
    •   Input AES and Manifest bookings, Enter L/C or shipping instructions apply for Phytos by utilizing government websites.
    • Maintaining organized folders and filing system.
    • Ordering supplies and managing equipment when issues occur.
    • Updating and maintaining manual with revised information.
    • Scanning and making copies of documents.
    • Record keeping of contract reports as payments are advised.
    •   Assume coworker’s duties when on vacation or out of the office.
    • Use courier services such as Fedex, UPS, and DHL to track shipments and make labels.
    Position Requirements:
    • Demonstrated attention to detail, accuracy, and time management/ multitasking.
    • Microsoft Office Suite and third-party website experience.
    • Ability to communicate and work well  in a team setting.
    • Customer service experience as this position will be working with customers and multiple steamship lines.
    • 6 months export experience preferred.
    • 6 months customer service experience preferred.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Associate degree preferred or equivalent experience
    Additional Position Information:
    Ability to sit for long periods of time, willingness to work extended hours during peak season and occasional weekends and the ability to  lift up to 40 pounds.
