Position Summary :
The IT Documentation Controller is responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining clear and concise documentation of IT processes and procedures.
The ideal candidate has excellent writing and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of IT concepts and best practices.
The IT Documentation Controller will work closely with IT stakeholders including directors, managers, and external parties to identify documentation needs, gather relevant information, and produce user-friendly and accurate documents.
The organization prioritizes high-quality IT Control documentation, and you will work with senior leaders who want to quickly build and enhance the documentation suite.
This position has scope to expand responsibilities within IT and other parts of the organization.
Responsibilities of Position :
- Create and update IT process and procedure documentation, such as manuals, guides, workflows, diagrams, templates, checklists, etc.
- Ensure that IT documentation is consistent, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards and policies.
- Collaborate with IT stakeholders, including IT staff, Internal Audit, Internal Controls and External Audit to understand their documentation requirements, review feedback, and incorporate changes.
- Manage and organize IT documentation repository, ensuring easy access and retrieval of documents.
- Conduct quality assurance and testing of IT documentation, ensuring readability, usability, and functionality.
- Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on how to use and follow IT documentation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and usage of IT documentation and identify areas for improvement.
- Research and stay updated on IT trends, best practices, and tools for documentation.
- Participate in educational programs, and discussions with colleagues to keep up to date with trends.
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Keeps supervision informed of developments as needed.
- Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company and the community;
This position has the ability to grow into a project management role to track key projects ensuring the highest standards of communication and documentation are maintained.
Skill Requirements :
- Excellent verbal, listening and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Visio and related software.

- Basic understanding of laws and regulations regarding document management.

- Knowledge of NIST, ISO or other IT governance frameworks is a distinct plus.
Education and Experience Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field required.
- At least three years of experience working with controls documentation required.
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements :
- Valid driver's license.
- Passport
Physical Requirements :
- Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
Working Conditions :
- Some of work time is spent sitting, standing, walking, lifting and bending.
- Potential overseas travel
